As a Charter Member, you will have input into the scope of services offered. Some services will be included in your membership and others will be fee based. Phase I - Executive Round Table (Peer to Peer) Interaction – CAMPS will coordinate monthly roundtable forums for small groups of executives to meet, receive updates on requested subjects, network, and collaborate on common points of interest.
- Supply Chain Boot Camp – CAMPS will provide introductory supply chain training on how companies can position themselves into the supply chains of OEM and large non-manufacturing customers
- CAMPS Advantage Assessment – Primarily designed for smaller companies, CAMPS staff will provide an assessment of the company current status, short and long term plans, and requirements to pursue those goals. Fees normally apply to these assessments.
- Innovation Data Base - CAMPS will provide exclusive access to members on the latest emerging industries, technologies, products, and processes, with website secure access.
- E-Commerce Advancements – CAMPS will provide portal exchange between company websites and CAMPS website and using Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques, enable companies to raise awareness to their specialized capabilities, certifications, and specialties.
- Workforce and Financing – CAMPS will provide members with access to the latest programs available to find solutions to workforce and financing needs, including tax legislation, incentives, and tax credits.
- Brokered services – Access to the region’s top-notch pre-qualified providers to assist companies to have highly efficient business foundations, practices, and processes. Fees will apply based on the specific engagement
Phase II - CAMPS is currently investigating programs to assist manufacturers in the following areas: - Assistance in new product development, to shorten the product development cycle, reduce cost, and to fast- track new product development and go-to-market strategies
- Hosted Innovation Events - introduce member companies to innovative products, processes, and to OEM customers seeking strategic partners. These events will be product and market niche specific
- Assistance in recognizing and establishing intellectual property rights, research and development tax credits, and other incentives
- Intelligence gathering assistance for members who require confidential product development and market research
- Supply Chain requirements by industry or sector
- Supply Chain linkages to OEM suppliers
- Process assistance for members to develop their own supply chain
- Decision support whether to vertically integrate or outsource
- Steps to develop specific supply chain partnerships
- Voice of manufacturers in workforce development initiatives
- Assistance in finding and securing customized training and funds where available Information clearing house of funding opportunities and tax incentives for training programs
- Development of a Business Development Company (BDC) comprised of three banks, venture funds, and CAMPS to better position manufacturers to secure funds to support innovation and growth
Other topics included in the long term business plan are: - Interest-specific CEO Councils – senior management networking involving conferences, educational seminars, workshops and roundtable discussions. These relationship-building programs will build demand and awareness of the importance of innovation, regional business development and supply chain relationships.
- Business development – efforts to match buyers and suppliers - local networking and business matchmaking designed to help companies meet requirements and contract with large Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and their major suppliers. Programs will include “Meet the Buyers” Conferences and hosted events including keynote speakers from national and locally headquartered companies (e.g. Boeing Commercial Aircraft, Costco, Esterline, Fluke, Nordstrom, and REI).
- Capital Formation Activities - The Center will also support its members' capital formation activities through assistance in developing grant applications, arranging bank financing and through participation in such vehicles as Washington State Business Development Company (BDC) investment structures.
- Innovation services – hosted events to stimulate the development and adoption of emerging technologies and practices. Examples include “Technology Days” to showcase commerce-ready licensing opportunities from research and development laboratories, including participation from the National Laboratories, Washington Technology Center and other prestigious research centers.
- Best practices in manufacturing, new product development and logistics – brokered professional consulting services offered through a network of independent experts carefully selected by the Center. There are a number of for-profit and not-for-profit consultant organizations in Puget Sound that can be represented (as their broker) to facilitate this offering. The Center may also call on professionals from other geographic areas if the required expertise is not available locally.
- Information clearinghouse – an on-line knowledgebase of best practices, technologies, relevant industry research, hiring and retention strategies, regulations, etc. One of the benefits of active participation will be access to a store of knowledge with content customized to the needs of local manufacturers. In addition to links to free information, the Center will offer expert research services on a fee basis and access to shared databases and periodicals.

Strategic Partnerships CAMPS will develop mutually beneficial business development, marketing programs and ongoing working relationships with organizations.
