We are a non-profit organization that provides competitive, value-driven training and consulting services. We are the official Washington State affiliate of the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Manufacturing Extension Program (NIST MEP). Since 1997 we have delivered improvement solutions to more than 1,500 Washington State manufacturers.

Training/Education Offerings
Value Stream Mapping

Value stream mapping (VSM) is the observing and mapping of existing production processes. It graphically displays how long it takes to complete a process using current techniques and classifies each task as either value-added or non value-added time. 

Food Processing & FSMA Compliance

Our experts can help food manufacturers and processors comply with the new Food Safety Modernization Act and other food safety regulations. 

DFARS and CMMC Readiness Training

We are offering two one-line, self-paced courses of DFARS and understanding the DoD's Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC). 

The Lean Enterprise Certification Program (LECP)

This program was created by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME). Impact Washington is the sole delivery partner for SME in Washington. The class is intended to provide training and experience to those individuals who would play the role of “Lean Champions” within their organizations.

Toyota Kata

Builds upon the philosophy of lean, and helps companies to further develop the people skills, thinking and behavior necessary for continuous improvement on a daily basis, thus transforming a firm’s culture.

Lean Training 101 Course

A one-day master course in lean manufacturing with live simulation and expert input.

Lean and Green W.A.S.T.E. Programs

Impact Washington and the Washington State Department of Ecology are offering two tiers of coaching support for Lean and Green (W.A.S.T.E.) Water, Air Emissions, Solid Waste, Toxins, Energy Program.  The W.A.S.T.E/Gemba Walk Program is for companies that are limited on their resources, and the other is a W.A.S.T.E Full Project Program for those that want more support and can commit the resources to it
