MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

FLSA: Non-exempt/Hourly
Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance and general maintenance and repair of all equipment and facilities used in the day to day operation of the company. A general knowledge of refrigeration, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanics, etc. is required.Valid WSD License required. Able to lift 50 pounds.
General Duties:
*Follow preventative maintenance (P.M.) schedule on all production, shipping and material handling equipment. Follow P.M. schedule for facilities maintenance. Record keeping of all work done in P.M.
Be knowledgeable of the maintenance requirements of existing equipment and new equipment purchases. Maintain the equipment in optimal working condition and reduce the amount of breakdowns, reducing repair downtime.
Specific Duties:
*Maintain a regular maintenance schedule on all equipment and facilities.
*Maintain preventative maintenance records and checklists.
*Provide and maintain equipment and facilities for the care and safety of all employees.
*Recommend and coordinate all equipment and electrical installation, maintenance and repair as required. Pick up parts/items as required.
*Emergency repairs of equipment or facilities. There may be occasions that one of the Maintenance Techs be called off hours in an emergency.
*Other duties as assigned.
