Unitec is a premier truck scale manufacturer and service provider.

We are currently seeking a Scale Service Technician to work at our SEATTLE / TUKWILA, WA location.

The position offers full-time employment, 40 hours per week with overtime possibilities. Overtime is paid after 8 hours!

Scale Service Technician will service customers in the western Washington area with various types of vehicles weighing and warehouse scales. We will train the right candidate!

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain predictable and reliable attendance and work in a safe and alert manner

  • Perform calibrations and preventative maintenance duties, as well as troubleshoot and repair industrial weighing equipment

  • Drive safely and maintain a valid driver’s license

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

  • Maintain a professional relationship with customers, and all other essential personnel

Qualifications

  • Basic mechanical, electrical, and computer knowledge

  • Class B CDL preferred or willing to obtain within 60 days of hire date (Unitec will provide training, testing, etc.)

  • Clean 5-year driving record

  • Ability to pass DOT physical, drug/alcohol test

  • Ability to pass Background check

Physical Demands

  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job (job requires frequent lifting/moving up to 50-100lbs, climbing, stooping, kneeling, seeing, grasping, hearing, etc.)

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical assemblies and outside weather conditions.

  • Exposure to dust, dirt, and the elements may vary from worksite to worksite.

  • Technicians will need to work flexible hours to meet customer demands, with some overnight out-of-town travel (about 10-15%). Meals and accommodations are paid for by the company.
