For small and midsized manufacturers, employee benefits sit at the intersection of two ongoing business challenges: supporting the people the company depends on and managing costs that affect the business.

For manufacturers operating on tight margins, healthcare is one of many significant costs that has to be evaluated carefully. Employers are balancing employee coverage, recruitment and retention needs, and the financial realities of running and growing a manufacturing business.

CAMPS is pleased to recognize Capital Benefit Services as a Conference Sponsor of the 2026 CAMPS Annual Manufacturing Conference, FUTURE READY: Leadership, Change & the Road Ahead.

Capital Benefit Services already plays an important role within the CAMPS community through its work with the CAMPS Health Trust, an Association Health Plan available to eligible CAMPS member companies. Capital Benefit Services serves as the Health Trust’s appointed broker and works directly with employers on their employee benefit options.

That role is different from the role of an insurance carrier. The CAMPS Health Trust offers medical coverage through Regence and Kaiser Permanente, dental coverage through Delta Dental, and vision coverage through VSP. Capital Benefit Services works with employers as they navigate the Health Trust and their employee benefit options.

Capital Benefit Services specializes in Association Health Plans and works with industry-specific Health Trusts across the Northwest. Its website identifies the Center for Advanced Manufacturing Health Trust as one of those programs and notes that it was established in 2016 for companies in manufacturing, innovation, and technology-related industries.

For manufacturing employers, that work matters because healthcare decisions do not happen in isolation. Companies are continually weighing what they offer employees against healthcare costs, workforce expectations, and other investments competing for limited resources.

The Association Health Plan structure brings participating employers together through an industry-specific association. Capital Benefit Services specializes in this model and works with employers as they evaluate their benefit options.

That makes its support of FUTURE READY particularly relevant. The conference is designed to bring Washington manufacturing leaders together around the decisions affecting their companies, from leadership and change to workforce, technology, and operations. Employee benefits are another part of that larger business picture.

We appreciate Capital Benefit Services’ support of the 2026 CAMPS Annual Manufacturing Conference and its ongoing work with CAMPS and manufacturing employers through the CAMPS Health Trust.
